Starting to draw a little more now

Don't think that I don't draw. o_o I draw aaaall the time. xD But traditional. ._.

I've started on a drawing of Carcharodon (digital), and if I use enough time, I think I'll maybe become satisfield. Some people here keep telling me that I should draw something for myself, and I'm so grateful for that. I think you know who you are.


BUT! I AM going to make those gifts and art trades and all the stuff that I'm supposed to make. Arh! Now Christmas is coming up too. ._. Maybe I'll give away some sketched instead of drawings that I'm using hours on. You see, I think I'm going to write some kind words about all my active watchers that comments my work. I'll not write to all my watchers, cause I don't know you all. I'm writing to the ones that I wrote to last time I wrote a jornual about you guys. But there will be some more people, I think.

Just wanted you to know that I haven't forgotten all the gifts and art trades. And the one for ~Pusi, ~Queenen and =Luvanime07... I am going to make them, ok? I just have so much to do now, and I refuse to give you something that I'm not satisfield with.

I know this is meant for telling you something about myself. But I'm actually going to tell about my biggest interest and favorite animals; the sharks.

In one year humans kill around 100 million sharks. The sharks kill around 5-10 humans in one year. When humans die because of a shark, of course it's sad. Family and friends loses someone who stands close to them.

But do you think that the one who died bacause of a shark, wanted the rest of the family and the friends to hate sharks? Get them killed? At least I don't think so. If I ever got attacked by a shark, I would yell at them who become angry at them just because of that. Because we're not on the shark's menu.

A surfer can easy be mistaken for being a seal. The most feared of all sharks, The Great White, eats seals and sealions. But still, it's only around 50 attacks of sharks in one year. That's telling us that we're not really on the sharks menu.

The sharks are also curious. They don't have hands to find out what kind of creature who's swimming on the surface above them. They do only have their jaws, and then they'll have to bite to explore. Many of the 'attacks' is just the shark that's investigating what kind of creature we are. It's not really powerful bites, but it's of course painfull. The thing is, that sharks doesn't always want to attack us. Most times it's just investigating.

But why are we so afraid of this animal? I think the biggest reason is the shark in Jaws. To me this is one of the videos I don't like at all. I know many people that love sharks love this video, but I don't. First of all, it was the video that made ME scared of sharks. I was terrified, and I didn't dare to swim far away from the other. But deep inside of me it was a interest for sharks. After seing this movie, I had to know if they were like this. Do they attack you everytime you're out swimming? Do they just want to eat you? When can I be safe?

I started reading about them, and every fact I read, I remembered. So one day I found the truth behind. I was watching this amazing video on youtube. It was about saving our sharks, and that their fins are used in a soup called shark fin soup. I remember I cried for hours.

It's kind of a wierd story about how I felled in love with sharks. But since I was little I've loved the sea, and the shark called a Hammerhead shark, was facinating me everytime I saw it on TV. And actually before I become totally into sharks, I bought this little figure of a hammerhead shark. That shark has fazinating me since I first saw it.

But if you still don't care about sharks. "Kill them!" "We don't need them. They're just biting us!" I think you should watch the movie called Sharkwater. It's the most amazing and beautiful movie ever made. It does really show the truth.

Sharks doesn't always come over to you if you're diving. They're so afraid of humans, and they're shy animals. It's so easy to scare away a shark, and it's much more difficult to make them come to you.

The worst part of it all, is how humans are treating the sharks. As I've said before; they're killed for their fins. But they're also hunted for their jaws, their teeth and some people just want to get rid of them.
When it comes to shark finning, some people are using the most cruel method to take their fins;

They drag the shark over in their boat. Cuts of it's fins, while it's still alive. They toss it back into the water like it was some kind of rubish, and the sharks is STILL ALIVE. The shark will drown since it can't swim without it's fins or it can bleed to death. Other sharks may smell the blood and can come and start eating of it while it's still alive.

In any case, the shark will die a painfull death. Just because people wants it's fins so they can make shark fin soup. The fins doesn't taste much in the soup (I've never tasted it, and I never will either.) but it's served as a sign of respect in weddings and important celebrations. I wouldn't feel like people respected me if they served me shark fin soup.

But do you think that a creature in this world really need to suffer like this? Just because of this tasteless soup called shark fin soup?
